Narrative synthesis indicated some reductions in AOD-related assault rates and arrests, but were equivocal for quantity of alcohol consumed, 12-month illicit drug use, assault or abuse, motor vehicle accidents and hospital admissions. Conclusions: Interventions to reduce alcohol and other drug use and harms applied to whole communities have resulted so far in small reductions in risky alcohol consumption, but have had little impact upon past month alcohol use, binge drinking or 12-month marijuana use and the studies have been subject to high risk of bias.]]> Wed 06 Apr 2022 14:04:58 AEST ]]> Psychological characteristics of early stuttering https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:49025 Wed 03 May 2023 12:38:19 AEST ]]> More than “just a test”—Task-switching paradigms offer an early warning system for cognitive decline https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:43864 Tue 04 Oct 2022 12:21:30 AEDT ]]> Screening practices for disordered eating in paediatric type 1 diabetes clinics https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:39347 20%, while eight reported rates < 5%. All clinics used the routine clinical interview as the primary method of screening for disordered eating. Only one used screening tools; these were not diabetes-specific or routinely used. Barriers to use of screening tools included shortage of time and lack of staff confidence around use (n = 7, 70%). Enablers included staff training in disordered eating. Conclusions: Screening tools for disordered eating are not utilised by most Australasian paediatric T1D clinics. Overall, low reported rates of disordered eating suggest that it may be undetected, potentially missing an opportunity for early intervention.]]> Thu 28 Jul 2022 15:20:44 AEST ]]> Educational approaches for maximizing arousal in children with multiple and severe disability: new directions for research and practice in early childhood contexts https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:531 Thu 25 Jul 2013 09:10:33 AEST ]]> Getting the mix right: family, community and social policy interventions to improve outcomes for young people at risk of substance misuse https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:602 Thu 25 Jul 2013 09:10:24 AEST ]]> Prevention and early intervention in eating disorders: findings from a rapid review https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:54266 Thu 15 Feb 2024 14:32:43 AEDT ]]> Predictors of Lidcombe Program treatment dropout and outcome for early stuttering https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:41974 Thu 11 Apr 2024 14:52:18 AEST ]]> Critiques of a Public Health Model in Child Maltreatment https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:50180 Thu 06 Jul 2023 11:18:08 AEST ]]> Educational approaches for maximizing arousal in children with multiple and severe disability: New directions for research and practice in early childhood contexts https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:1626 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:30:36 AEDT ]]> Referral for management of emotional health issues during the perinatal period: does mental health assessment make a difference?
